National Agency eligibility

Guidance for anyone who works, volunteers or has retired from an eligible UK National Agency and is looking to become a member.

Eligible organisations

  • To view eligible National Agency organisations, please use the organisation dropdown during sign-up here

  • If your organisation isn’t listed, you may not be eligible yet, or we may need to approve it. Learn more here

Eligible roles

You can join if you are one of the following from an eligible organisation:

  • Employed

  • Retired

  • Volunteer (must be actively serving to be eligible)

About roles

  • There are many roles within National Agencies, so we currently list mainly operational roles (we’ll refine this over time)

  • If your role isn’t listed but you are eligible to join, please select Other Role for now (we'll ask you to update this later)

  • We don't capture grades, bands or specialities. For example, select Border Force Officer regardless of your grade

  • Choose the option that best reflects your employment status (employed, retired or volunteer). For example, if you're a serving immigration officer, choose Immigration Officer – Employed

If you're retired

If you have retired from an eligible organisation, please:

  • Select the organisation you retired from

  • Choose the role that best matches your previous position

  • Select the Retired option. For example, if you're a retired immigration officer, choose Immigration Officer – Retired

How to verify

You can verify your eligibility in one of two ways:

  • Work email (fastest option)

  • ID document (see below accepted forms of ID)

Employed

Document

Work ID card

  • Your full name

  • Your organisation's name

Payslip

  • Your full name

  • Your organisation's name

  • A date within the last 3 months

Volunteer

Document

Must show

Work ID card

  • Your full name

  • Your organisation's name

Headed letter

  • Your full name

  • Your organisation's name

  • A manager's signature

  • A date within the last 3 months

Retired

Document

Must show

Pension document

  • Your full name

  • Affiliation with an eligible National Agency

P60

  • Your full name

  • Affiliation with an eligible National Agency
